In spite of nonstop rain that has killed nearly all outdoor tennis activity over the past six weeks, Racquet Network has managed to continue growing. Our members now have more portability than ever before. We also have more active instructors than at any time in our history.
In early June, Racquet Network officially expanded into Edmonton and Vancouver. This means that members who are already living in those cities can expect to start meeting new players soon. And members who are planning to move to these cities can now take their lifetime memberships with them.
As part of this expansion, Racquet Network has also added several new instructors in recent weeks. Peggy Schoeder, a level-3 USPTR tennis instructor is now offering clinics in Vancouver and Calgary. Jeff Sneyd, formerly of the Royal Glenora Club, is now offering tennis and squash lessons in Edmonton. Andrew Linklater, recommended to us by Squash Alberta's provincial coach Kevin Doucet, will also soon be offering squash lessons to our members in Edmonton.
Within Calgary, where most of our members currently live, Racquet Network has recently welcomed the addition of badminton instructor Nicholas Bonkowsky and the re-activation of racquetball instructor (and Alberta Racquetball Association president) James Brayley.
Also exciting on the Calgary front is news of George Jan's decision to add his group to our network as a Recommended Host Club for badminton. George has been running recreational badminton programs in southwest Calgary for many years. The decision to add his club to our network as a Host Club means that we now have another great club to which we are able to refer our growing group of badminton players.
