Box Leagues that Work

If you've ever joined a box league at your local tennis or squash club, you will know that most box leagues don't work.

Typically, a club box league consists of little more than a list of players who don't play very often. Many of these players think nothing of cancelling at the last minute or, worse yet, don't bother showing up at all.

This is not the case with Racquet Network box leagues. Our active box leagues have monthly participation rates of 90 per cent or more.

In part, this is because we charge entry fees for our leagues. These small fees act as deterents to people who aren't really committed to playing.

Another reason for our unusually high partcipation rates is our PLAY OR DIE system. In a Racquet Network box league, players are required to play every month. Those who don't are out.

We don't accept excuses. We don't allow exceptions. Racquet Network administrators are absolutely ruthless about this rule. Our box leagues are for people who are willing and able to play -- ONLY!

The end result of this diligent application of the rules is a box league system that works. Players who join Racquet Network box leagues can do so with the full knowledge that they are joining leagues in which they will be playing every month.
